Arizona-based nutritional fast-food purveyor Beyond Juice announced on Friday its first New York City location -- at the Bay Terrace Shopping Center in the Bayside section of Queens.

"[I]nitially it was a difficult choice,” admitted Doug Weinstein, the company's managing director, in a statement.

For Arizona-Based Beyond Juice

NEW YORK CITY – In a deal negotiated by Sholom & Zuckerbrot LLC, Beyond Juice is opening its first New York City location, at the Bay Terrace Shopping Center, in the Bayside section of Queens, announces Franklin S. Zuckerbrot, president of S&Z.

The Arizona-based retail chain will occupy the former Baskin & Robbins store, comprising 850 square feet of space at the bustling shopping center at 26^th Avenue and Bell Boulevard. An early fall opening of the store is planned.

“Beyond Juice was looking at several different markets, and initially it was a difficult choice,” says Doug Weinstein, managing director at S&Z. “But in the final analysis, The Bay Terrace proved to be the best choice for the company’s first foray into the marketplace.”

Beyond Juice was founded in 1989 to devise fast food that is enjoyable and healthy, as well as quickly served. The retail chain’s trademark “Meal in a Cup” is a revolutionary "basic blend" of 19 different vitamins, minerals and amino acids designed to provide a well-balanced meal in a 20-ounce cup, the company says.

Sholom & Zuckerbrot Realty LLC continues to look for new locations on behalf of Beyond Juice, and the company will consider stores in the 600–1,400 square foot range throughout the boroughs of New York City and Long Island.
