As we move closer to the second week, the tennis is getting so good.
Rafael Nadal’s bum knees held together long enough for his opponent, Janko Tipsarevic, to retire in the third set. The resurrected Robby Ginepri moves onto the third round. Lleyton Hewitt, the man who many thought might make a run, is the first big name to be upset from the tournament. Marat Safin, Tin Henman and Mardy Fish are all out.
Meanwhile, Venus is having her strongest first week at a Grand Slam in years, Jelena Jankovic escaped a three-set match and Ana Ivanovic is looking better by the match.
What a weekend we have ahead.
