10 a.m. The launch of the first "Garden in Transit" taxis celebrating the 100th anniversary of the first metered taxicab will take place in Union Square, 14th Street and Broadway.

10:30 a.m. Attorneys will announce a lawsuit to force New York to raise judicial salaries and to award back pay through 2000 at the New York County Lawyers' Association, 14 Vesey Street.

11 a.m. Celebrity jurors will attend the unveiling of the Jury Duty Social Awareness stamp at the New York County Courthouse Rotunda, 60 Centre Street.

Noon. John Dean, former counsel to Richard Nixon, will sign copies of his book, "Broken Government: How Republican Rule Destroyed the Legislative" at Borders Bookstore, 10 Columbus Circle.

3 p.m. A presentation of paper cranes will be held at the Tribute WTC Visitor Center, 120 Liberty Street.

All eight Democratic presidential candidates will participate in an online-only presidential "mash-up," moderated by Charlie Rose, and hosted by Yahoo!, The Huffington Post and Slate. The candidates will be interviewed via satellite from their locations on the campaign trail on September 12 and the videos will be available on the Yahoo! site the next day.
