John McCain will have a Peggy Noonan-moderated fund-raiser tonight at the New York City Athletic Club, where he’ll be offering an “exchange of ideas” with supporters contributing at least $500.
In the invite, the text of which is after the jump, McCain reminds supporters that Henry Kissinger showed up at the last event. This time?
“You will also have the pleasure of seeing Cindy and meeting my mom, Roberta.”
Here’s the invite:
Please join me on Thursday, September 27th for a frank and open discussion at our “McCain Exchange of Ideas” in New York. This event is our opportunity to discuss any topic on your mind. I am also delighted to announce that my friend, and renowned author and commentator, Peggy Noonan has agreed to moderate the evening. The Exchange will be followed by a cocktail hour with some of New York’s most influential business, political, and thought leaders. You never know who might attend. At my last Exchange, Dr. Henry Kissinger joined us [ watch video here]. You will also have the pleasure of seeing Cindy and meeting my mom, Roberta.
The event begins at 6:00 p.m. at the New York City Athletic Club. Ticket prices range from $500 a person to $2,300 a person for reserved seating. You can purchase tickets by using this (redacted) or by contacting Tamara Hallisey (redacted).
This has been a good month for our campaign, but I need your continued support as much now as I ever have. Please take the time to join us at the McCain Exchange on Thursday for what I know will be an interesting evening.
Cindy and I look forward to seeing you at the Exchange.
