Bloomberg Orders Hiring Freeze

Michael Bloomberg has ordered a hiring freeze, according to a letter circulated by Mark Page, Director of the City’s Office of Management and Budget, to city agency heads.

The letter cites a “slowing of the national economy and local real estate market” as negatively impacting the city’s revenue.
