Former WNBA President Val Ackerman and family recently purchased a 5,000-square-foot apartment in Tribeca’s Franklin Tower at 90 Franklin Street. Covering the entire 13th floor, their new condo has four bedrooms, a library, and four and a half baths, according to the listing with Stribling & Associates, and went for a measly $7.25 million.

That’s the real estate version of a three-pointer!

The previous owner was Brit Sinclair Beecham, the co-founder of Pret a Manger and more recently a hotelier.

Ms. Ackerman and her attorney husband Charles Rappaport have two daughters, and a source said they were interested in the extra space. They moved from another condo around the corner on North Moore. While the views from this new spread may be spectacular, the apartment had been on the market since September with one price decrease, according to StreetEasy.

UPDATE: Ms. Ackerman was the WNBA's first president and left that post in 2005. This story originally said she was the association's current president.
