CNN to Expand Some Foreign Bureaus

At a time when many TV news outlets are cutting back on their overseas reporting, CNN is investing in it. According to the Associated Press, CNN Worldwide plans to add 15 or 16 new correspondents to its staff of 150, at a cost of almost $10 million. The network’s bureau in the United Arab Emirates, among other foreign outposts, figures to benefit.
