12:01 a.m. Advocates participate in the “Reading of the Names’“ World AIDS Day vigil, at City Hall Park.

9 a.m. The New York State Insurance Department holds a hearing on surety bonds, at 163 West 125th Street.

11 a.m. The city’s Parks Department has a ribbon cutting ceremony for a dog park, at 137th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue.

1:30 p.m. The Latino Commission on AIDS hears from the current Miss Universe, at 24 West 25th Street.

Sunday

Noon. The Tilden Democrat Club hosts a ‘toys for tots’ holiday party, at Cottage Irving Place, at 16th Street.

2 p.m. Broadway Democrats host their holliday party, at 390 Riverside Drive.

5 p.m. Three Parks Independent Democrats host their holiday party at 891 Amsterdam Avenue.

Monday
 
6 p.m. Eliot Spitzer has a fund-raiser at the Metropolitan Pavilion on West 18th Street.

6 p.m. Attorney and Andrew Cuomo aide Jerry Goldfeder has a party to celebrate the release of his new book, at 14 Vesey Street.

6:30 p.m. the New York Press Club has its holiday party, at Kellari Taverna, at West 44th Street.
