Queens Politics, But With Music and Dancing

legcardsmall222 Queens Politics, But With Music and DancingIt’s that time of year again: the Legislative Review – a comedy show featuring Queens lawmakers – is set for Saturday, November 17, at Queens Theatre.

From the press release:

“Councilwoman Helen Sears, Assemblywoman Ellen Young and State Senator Toby Ann Stavisky are the "Queens Girls" in a parody of the hit musical movie, Dreamgirls. Assemblyman William Scarborough plays their manager, Curtis and guess which one is Beyonce? In a sequel to Ocean’s 11, six (6) legislators take the roles of Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts and Bernie Mac and Casey Affleck. And, Speaker Christine Quinn also makes a featured appearance, but we’re not going to give away the role she chooses to play, nor the hit song Borough President Helen Marshall belts out. There are also scenes from "Romeo and Juliet," "The Simpsons" and "West Side Story”, performed by our able and talented cast of legislators.”
