Spitzer: Assembly Dems Are Like Family

So while Spitzer was with the Assembly Democrats this morning, he told the assembled lawmakers (and reporters) that he now considers the legislature to be family.

According to one attendee, he used his real family to illustrate the point.

“He said that he considers us to be one big family and how sometimes in a family, there are ups and downs,” the attendee said. “Then he told a funny story that his now-wife actually turned him down the first time he asked her out.”

Spitzer’s point, according to the attendee: “Just because the first time you try and get together and it doesn’t work out doesn’t mean you don’t keep trying.”
