This morning I posted a video of Jim Brennan predicting Eliot Spitzer would close the state’s $5 billion budget gap by, among other strategies, delaying funds mandated by the Campaign for Fiscal Equity lawsuit.
Spitzer spokesman Matt Anderson from the state’s Division of Budget responded by email:
“In a tough budget year, all spending programs are on the table. But one of Governor Spitzer’s top priorities is continuing his historic investment in New York’s education system, and that will inform any decision he makes.”
UPDATE: Liz has a reaction from education advocates to Brennan’s remarks.
