Michael Bloomberg came to last night’s holiday party for the New York Press Club bearing good-natured humor.

“I just want you to know, that even more than Thanksgiving, my favorite thing I look forward to every fall is this party. Where else could I get together with my friends? And the rest of you.”

All the guests brought gifts to be donated to charity; the mayor’s present was a “rush-hour traffic jam puzzle.”

“Because I know all of you are going to help deliver congestion pricing,” he joked. “It really would be a very nice thing to do.”
