Columbia to Host Former 'White House Correspondent' Jeff Gannon

A reader forwarded me this email invitation from The Columbia Political Union, a faculty-student group at Columbia University:

Friendly Fire Series: Discussion with Former White House Correspondent Jeff Gannon
Wednesday, December 3rd at 7:00pm in the Harison Room, 2nd Floor, Faculty House

Gannon, you may recall, was that oddly credentialed fake White House reporter who also had a colorful side job.

Friendly Fire Series: Discussion with Former White House Correspondent Jeff Gannon
Wednesday, December 3rd at 7:00pm in the Harison Room, 2nd Floor, Faculty House

Jeff Gannon is a former White House correspondent and the author of the newly released book, The Great Media War: A Battlefield Report, which details Gannon’s story of how he was driven out of the White House press corps and includes an account of the efforts of conservative journalists to establish themselves within mainstream journalism. As a White House reporter between 2003 and 2005, he represented Talon News, but resigned in early 2005. Since that time, he has created his own official blog and worked for a time as a columnist for the Washington Blade.

The Columbia Political Union presents a one-on-one discussion that will focus upon Gannon’s newly released book and conclude with a book signing.
