Pulitzer finalist Tracy Lett’s August: Osage County has all the buzz this week. The New York Times’ Charles Isherwood wrote that August: Osage County is “the most exciting new American play Broadway has seen in years.” Performed by the esteemed members of Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre Company, the play opened this week at the Imperial Theatre. Press materials describe the show: "When the large Weston family unexpectedly reunites after dad disappears, their Oklahoman family homestead explodes in a maelstrom of repressed truths and unsettling secrets. Mix in Violet, the drugged-up, scathingly acidic matriarch, and you’ve got a major new Broadway play that unflinchingly – and uproariously – exposes the dark side of the Midwestern American family." Check here for tickets.

When we made The Back Room, if someone said, ‘Let’s put a choir on this song,’ we would have been scared of looking pompous. Now, it’s like, “Let’s try it.
