More evidence that pixels are replacing ink: The Times is offering paid internships at nytimes.com.
The Times is currently accepting applicants for two four-month internships—one multimedia intern, the other a news inter—with the gaudy starting salary of $20.99 per hour. The job is full-time, so little chance to blow off second semester for J-schoolers (sounds more like a job for recently graduated freelancers).
And those interns that really stand out "will be considered" for a permanent job at 620 Eighth Avenue.
