Madonna Sues Upper West Side Co-op

Add one more celebrity car to the lawsuit train. Madonna has decided to take legal action, through the Manhattan Supreme Court, against the board and management company of her Upper West Side co-op. She apparently wants to expand her place into a neighboring apartment. (The Material Girl already has a 6,000-square-foot duplex in the building, which reportedly has its own gymnasium and beauty salon.) The summons claims that Midboro Management and the building’s board are in breach of contract; they apparently stalled the sale of Julie Clark Thayer’s pad. According to the Daily News, Madonna bought a place in the building after the San Remo board nixed her over 20 years ago.
