The city’s real estate industry is slipping into its normal holiday lull this week, but there’s still some news out there:
The designs for the 47-story mixed-use tower in Herald Square at 885 Sixth Avenue have been revealed. Designed by Costas Kondylis, the tower will be mostly condos.
Europeans, many in town just for the holiday shopping, are “keeping brokers busy with their eagerness to buy up Manhattan apartments.” Blame (or credit) the weak dollar.
Some state and local officials want the extended No. 7 subway line to include a station at 41st Street and 10th Avenue.
A condo at Fifteen Central Park West sells for $20.65 million.
Governor Spitzer and Mayor Bloomberg announced the winning design team for Governors Island.
The City Council approved the rezoning necessary for Columbia’s West Harlem expansion and the fall-out from the vote continues.
And the Gowanus Canal has gonorrhea.
