Less than a week after Uncle Rupe takes over WSJ, The Journal employees, left off the list for News Corp.’s glitterfest at the Hilton, scrounge together a Cratchit-family-style holiday at the Gate House, for which outgoing editor Paul Steiger has personally donated $100 (Paul, this should pay for … um, the coat check). Meanwhile we wish for A Christmas Story and the halcyon paradise that is our parents’ poorly appointed suburban couch. Ho-ho-ho!
