11 a.m. Council 1707 AFSCME and Public Advocate Betsy Gotbaum hold a press conference along with public officials, union leaders and parents calling for a moratorium on closing city-funded day care centers, and urging the Administration for Child Services to call off its plan to close the Lucille Murray Child Development Center on January 11. 11 a.m. The 305th Air Mobility Wing holds a ceremony to inaugurate its aerial port squadron’s first operation supporting a new mission. It will become one of two primary aerial ports for cargo operations flying into the Central Command theater. At McGuire Air Force Base, visitors must report to McGuire Main Gate.

2 p.m. N.J. Senator Robert Menendez holds a news conference to announce federal funding for health programs and centers at the Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County, 218 Sunset Road, Willingboro.
