How Much For That Havana Tower? Joe Shmo From Brooklyn Wants To Buy New Jersey's Biggest Hotel

New York developer Joseph Palladino is putting up a $950 million bid for Atlantic City’s beleaguered Tropicana Resort and Casino.

The Tropicana, opened in 1981, is New Jersey’s most ginormous hotel, boasting 2,129 rooms, plus some 3,400 slot machines, 21 restaurants and about 150,000 square feet of casino space.

But who’s this Joe Palladino guy?

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer:

Palladino, 47, is principal director of acquisitions for Private Family Office of New York, a private capital group that serves the business affairs of about 70 ultra-wealthy families throughout the world….

Palladino is also developing a 400-room hotel at New York City’s Hudson Yards and an office-commercial condominium on Fifth Avenue in lower Chelsea in the Flat Iron District.
