Leaving City Hall at 11:15 p.m. last night, I ran into three people already waiting to see the ceremony for the New York Giants, which will be held there later today after a parade that begins at 11 a.m.
William Rivas, 30, of Jersey City, said he is a huge Giants fan. He didn’t plan on voting today.
His friend, Ronald Moore, 24, also of Jersey City, said he was going to vote for Barack Obama. “I just heard him talk one time and he sounded deep. I was about to change my mind when I heard he was a [Chicago] Bears fan, but I let that slide.”
Pam Odierno, 52, of Clearwater Florida, said she voted for Hillary Clinton.
“I thought I would have stabbed myself in the back before I ever voted for her, but I switched from him [Obama] to her because of illegal immigration,” she said. When asked, Odierono said it was Hillary’s opposition to allowing undocumented immigrants to obtain drivers’ licenses that changed her mind.
