Michael Calderone at Politico reports that L.A. Times editor Russ Stanton is meeting with the paper’s D.C. bureau tomorrow. On the agenda: Damage control from last week’s bloody Sam Zell meeting where the paper’s new owner said, in essence, that there were too many reporters working there.
Also to be discussed, Calderone reports, is the paper’s buyout list, which is apparently now "oversubscribed" with a few reporters too many. He writes: "There will certainly be changes to it since the L.A. Times higher-ups will try to retain some staffers, while letting go others not on the list."
