“I’ve been talking to some friends in the nightclub industry about getting it on,” he said.
He hopes to have this plan actualized by this fall.
MR. GOLD HAS been watching the show Gossip Girl. He often reads the plot lines of his own intricate network of Manhattan friends and acquaintances into the plot.
“L.A. has their actresses, and we have our socialites,” he said.
But each has a way of turning into the other. Mr. Gold has recently dropped off some clothing for the show’s stylists.
“They were like, ‘We’d love to use this because socialites actually wear your clothes and you’re socialites,’ and we were like, ‘No we’re not!’”
Because Izzy Gold, like all socialites, hates the “socialite” moniker.
“I think it means I’m doing something right that people want to snap my picture,” he said. “But I think people have started hating on me a bit due to all the media coverage.”
He doesn’t have a publicist yet.
“Apparently I should have one,” he said.
