Feds to Announce Indictment Related to City Council

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York just sent a release saying that they will announce "the unsealing of an indictment involving New York City Council discretionary funds" at one o’clock today.

The announcement will be made by the U.S. Attorney in the city, Michael Garcia, and the city Department of Investigation Commissioner, Rose Gil Hearn, at Garcia’s office near City Hall.

UPDATE: NY1 reports:

Asquith Reid, the former chief of staff to a councilman Kendall Stewart, and Joycinth "Sue" Anderson, another staff member, are named in the indictment.
