NJN announced today that Senior Political Correspondent Michael Aron will serve as the network’s Interim Director of News and Public Affairs.
Aron takes over for Bill Jobes, who’s retiring after holding the post for 21 years.
In addition to appearing on NJN’s newscasts, Aron hosts and produces Reporters Roundtable. He often hosts and co-produces On the Record.
Aron holds a Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy and has been nominated for one 13 times. Before coming to work for NJN, he was a writer/editor for Rolling Stone, Harpers and New Jersey Monthly.
NJN also announced today that Kent Manahan has received a six-month extension on their retirement package and will remain as the nightly news anchor until December 31.
