That was the median household income in inflation-adjusted dollars for New York State in 2007, according to the Census Bureau’s latest American Community Survey released on Tuesday. It’s a little bit higher than the $52,656 of 2006, and also higher than the national median of $50,740.
Within New York State by county, median household incomes last year ranged from a low $34,156 in the Bronx to a high of $89,782 in Nassau County.
The American Community Survey uses a sample size of 3 million addresses nationwide. More here (PDF).
