"Hey New Yorkers," begins Emily Brill‘s invitation to tonight’s Strictly Uptown Vice Presidential Debate Screening Party at Lexington Bar and Books. This party is "no joke," she writes. In fact, cocktail attire is required to join Ms. Brill in watching Sarah Palin and Joe Biden go at it.
And! You may even participate in a live party blog if you wish, in which case you should bring your own BlackBerry–these, unlike snacks and drinks, will not be provided. Full invitation below; stay tuned for a post-party report tomorrow.

P.S. No ticket purchase necessary for tonight, but I always encourage contributions to my favorite nonprofit in NY, the Animal Medical Center. It’s one of only two nonprofit animal hospitals in the city and to give you an idea of how important this place is to veterinary medicine, consider the idea of canine oncologists working with doctors at Memorial Sloane Kettering. Also consider the fact that it provides pet care for everyone from people with disabilities to senior citizens to firemen. You can read more about it and/or contribute here:
