Iconic Coney Island boardwalk hangout Ruby's Bar, whose tellingly crumbling condition caught The Observer's eye this past summer, has yet to receive a new lease for the coming 2009 season [Kinetic Carnival via Grub Street]:

As most likely assumed, the other boardwalk businesses under the same landlord, like Lola Staar's boutique, may also be waiting to hear from Thor Equities on any lease extensions.
