Spitzer's Troopergate Testimony
Earlier today the state's Commission on Public Integrity settled their claims against two of the four people investigated in the Troopergate probe--and now the agency has published several of the sworn testimonies online, including Spitzer's.
It will take me a while to go through them all (the files are so large it will take me a while to even open them), so if you see anything of note put it in the comments section.
Also, testimonies from Christine Anderson, Darren Dopp, Daniel Wiese, William Howard and others are here.
UPDATE: While still trying to open Spitzer's testimony, I skimmed through the Ethics Commission summary, which makes this powerfully worded (if not self-evident) point rather clear:
"The Executive Chamber's actions were flatly ad odds with its duty to assist this Commission's investigation and the promises of Governor Spitzer that his Administration was cooperating fully with the Commission's investigation."
As one example, the Commission cites an email Spitzer sent to his top aide, Rich Baum, which Spitzer later said he didn't know anything about.
"In mid-May, Governor Spitzer initiated an email exchange with Baum regarding Senator Bruno. On May 15, Spitzer sent Baum an email that had no text, but the subject was: 'Idea abt jb I want to discuss with u.' (EX 42) Baum testified he did not recall what the Governor's '―idea about jb' was. (Baum 77-78) Spitzer testified that he had no idea what this email referenced.
UPDATE II: In Eliot Spitzer’s testimony to the State’s Commission on Public Integrity, he says he wasn’t aware of the claims made by his director of communications even after they were published in the New York Post because, “I don’t read [Fred] Dicker’s articles.” [Page 206.]
Does anybody in New York politics not read Dicker?

Eliot Spitzer: "Never write when you can talk. Never talk when you can nod. And never put anything in an e-mail."
