What: First-ever interactive ball. Party vicariously through the attendees, who will be blogging, Facebooking and Twittering all through the event. Performances by Sheryl Crow, Will.i.am and Sting. Celebrities including Halle Berry, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, Wolf Blitzer and Larry King.

What: Inauguration party alongside three day art exhibition, hosted by Rosario Dawson, Heather Graham, Michael Stipe and Shepard Fairey. Includes performances by Santagold, De La Soul and Moby.

Official Obama for Change Volunteer Victory Celebration
Time: 9 pm to 4 am
Place: Zanzibar on the Waterfront, 700 Water St, SW
What: Celebration for Obama campaign organizers, volunteers and supporters. Free food, open bar from 9 to 11 pm, local DJ’s. Semi-formal attire.

2009 Green Inaugural Ball
Time:  8 pm
Place: Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture, 8th St & F St. NW
What: Al Gore-hosted inauguration ball to celebrate those “committed to creating a new energy economy.”  Entertainment by Will.i.am (also performing at the Huffington Post ball), Melissa Etheridge, Maroon 5, John Legend and Michael Franti. Dress code is black tie.

What: Black tie event hosted by Russell Simmons, LL Cool J and Young Jeezy to celebrate both the inauguration of President Obama and the hip-hop community for “inspiring the transformation of America.” Black tie.

Kid’s Inaugural: We Are the Future Concert
Time: 7 pm
Place: Verizon Center, 601 F St. NW
What: Attended by Michelle Obama, Jill Biden and their families to honor military families. To be broadcast by Disney, with performances by the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Bow Wow and cameos by Billy Ray Cyrus, Usher and Keke Palmer.

Moet & Chandon’s Inaugural Gala Performance by Common
Time: 8 pm to 4 am
Place: Love, 1350 Okie St. NE
What: Fourth event in a week long inauguration series at Washington nightclub Love. Jay-Z, Diddy, T.I. and Young Jeezy have had their turns; Monday is Common‘s night.
