ALBANY—As the state’s black and Hispanic elected establishment gathers here for a weekend-long conference, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand will be in in the city Saturday to endorse Scott Murphy for the congressional seat she once held.
“Scott Murphy is a hard worker, he’s got a terrific background in the private sector,” said Gillibrand spokeswoman Rachel McEneny. “He wants to create jobs upstate. We believe he’s going to be an exceptional leader.”
Murphy’s Republican opponent, Jim Tedisco, will be continuing his “road to recovery” tour of the district on Saturday, with a stop in Washington County.
