Speaking of dear ole Dad! Over at Film Forum, the pessimistic “Breadlines & Champagne” film festival is still mucking around in Depression-era celluloid; Scarface screens for drunk, out-of-work investment-banking analysts wandering around Soho mumbling, “Say hello to mah little frien,” oblivious to the fact that the 1932 original didn’t star Al Pacino. … (His name was Paul Muni, and Howard Hawks directed the picture.)
