Michael Bloomberg said that he doesn’t think Adolfo Carrion did anything wrong by approving development projects associated with people who donated money to his campaigns.
The former Bronx borough president’s activity was the subject of a lengthy investigative story on Sunday, which was followed up with a story today about how the White House hasn’t issued a defense of Carrion, who they just hired.
“I assume there’s been nothing done wrong there,” Bloomberg said, who went on to praise the city’s campaign finance system, which he said was better than the state’s.
Bloomberg was speaking at a press conference in Queens, where he discussed the city’s response to today’s snowfall.
