Gov. Jon Corzine won a 91%-9% victory at the Hunterdon County Democratic Convention on Saturday, winning the organization line by a 74-7 vote over former Glen Ridge Mayor Carl Bergmanson.
Corzine, seeking re-election to his second term, is expected to run on the organization line in every county.
“Democrats in Hunterdon should be proud of their County Committee,” Bergmanson told PolitickerNJ.com. “This is the only county convention that has allowed me to speak.”
Hunterdon Democrats endorsed William Courtney and Tammeisha Smith as candidates for the State Assembly in the 23rd district.
