SARATOGA SPRINGS—The first debate between the two candidates vying to replace Kirsten Gillibrand in the House has been pretty staid, but Assembly Minority Leader Jim Tedisco turned a small flub into a joke when asked for his position about curbing sprawl.
Speaking about a program he worked with George Pataki to implement, Tedisco referred to Pataki as the "previous governor" before realizing he was not the previous governor.
"The previous previous governor," he said. "There's a lot of governors that have passed this past year. I don't think Zsa Zsa Gabor had that many husbands."
