Borrero says he thinks Bill Thompson has to pick up his campaign or risk facing an “electoral beating” worse the one Michael Bloomberg's gave Fernando Ferrer in 2005.

That's quite a warning, considering that Ferrer lost to Bloomberg “by a historic margin.”

And not too read too deep, but what Borrero describes is not unlike the way some state Democrats seem to be feeling about David Paterson right now.
