Uncle Floyd is running for Governor

unclefloyd2 Uncle Floyd is running for GovernorFloyd Vivino, known to generations of television viewers and radio listeners as Uncle Floyd, announced last week that he will run for Governor of New Jersey as a write-in candidate in the November general election. Uncle Floyd has been on the air for more than thirty years. The 57-year-old Vivino's show aired in the New York media market on PBS from 1974 to 1998.

One of Vivino's rivals, former U.S. Attorney Christopher Christie, will hold a fundraising event in May featuring the actor Frank Vincent, who played Phil Leotardo on The Sopranos, and John Salvato, who was an original founding member of The Duprees. Former Assemblyman Richard Kamin, who is now a lobbyist, is among the hosts of the fundraiser.
