Thompson Calls the Coup ‘Insanity,’ Connects It to Term-Limits Extension

Here’s Bill Thompson at a rally to support the Democratic conference in the State Senate, calling the coup “insanity.”

Thompson also connects the change of hands in that legislative body to the term-limits extension, which remains deeply unpopular among New Yorkers.

“This coup attempt in Albany, this Tom Golisano-manufactured “let’s change the rules at the last second”–reminds you of one of the rules changes down here with term limits,” Thompson said.
