Gov. Jon Corzine today released a full list of contributions made by his charitable foundation this year — $191,770 through October 8. Included were gifts to the Harlem Day School ($50,000), Rockefeller University ($25,000), and the Folksbeine Yiddish Theater ($20,000).
“Christie talks a lot about transparency, but he has not responded to our request for him to join in calling for the U.S. Attorney’s Office to release the FOIA’s they held up for months,” said Sean Darcy, a spokesman for the Corzine campaign. “Based on the revelations of thousands of taxpayer dollars spent on baseball games, limousine rides and five star hotels around the world, I think we can see why. Instead of trying to create issues of transparency, they should deal with the one right in front of them and call on the U.S. Attorney’s office to provide New Jersey voters with some transparency into whatever else was going on in that office before the new U.S. Attorney came in.”
