Arizona Congressman: What If Bloomberg’s Daughter Was Kidnapped?

Here’s Rep. John Shadegg of Arizona, a Republican, arguing against having the 9/11 trial in New York, and challenging Michael Bloomberg with a dreadful, hypothetical scenario.

“I saw the mayor of New York say ‘We’re tough. We can do it.’ Well mayor, how are you going to feel when it’s your daughter that’s kidnapped at school by a terrorist?”

A spokesman for Bloomberg said they’re not going to dignify the comment with a response.

UPDATE: Anthony Weiner, in a rare moment of defending Bloomberg, lashed out at Shadegg, saying, “That member should apologize. That member should then be quiet.”
