The G.M. Building is getting a new name. Or it might be, as Dana Rubinstein reports this morning.
A month after he announced that the beleaguered automaker would stay in its namesake building, Boston Properties chair Mort Zuckerman said last week that his company had recaptured the right to re-name the iconic building as part of the deal.
Mr. Zuckerman says he would prefer to have the deal “baked into” a lease agreement with one of the building’s tenants–which include Apple, FAO Schwartz, and the white-shoe law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges–but he admits that might not be possible since the building is almost entirely full.
Perhaps Ford might be interested?
