Measure your morality right now

Surely most of us believe ourselves to be fair-minded, honest and—of course—correct when it comes to issues of right and wrong. But how do your individual beliefs match up to others? The (highly addictive) site YourMorals.org provides easy-to-complete tests of your ethics, values and morality, with instant results that chart where your judgments fall amid other participants’.

The Web site was created by five social psychologists from the University of Virginia, the University of Southern California and the University of California, Irving. After completing a fairly painless sign-up process, you can choose among a ton of different tests, with new ones put up regularly. Learn how vengeful a person you are; how you relate to others in terms of romance; or which punishment best fits a crime. You might be surprised at the results, and if you start worrying about this being just another Internet time-waster, don’t: Consider it a contribution to science.
