The Smithsonian’s Fifth Avenue design museum will get a new director in March: Bill Moggridge, the man who’s credited with designing the first first laptop computer.
Moggridge founded the design firm IDEO in 1991, and has served as a consultant for the British government as well holding a post as a professor at Stanford.
“I really thought my main goal in life was to design stuff,” he told The Times today. “To have a national opportunity on a much greater scale is very exciting.”
