Funnyman Richard Kind Curbs His Enthusiasm on the Upper West Side

Actor Richard Kind, known for his roles on sitcoms such as Mad About You, Spin City and Curb Your Enthusiasm, has recently bought a three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment on the Upper West Side, at 250 West 82nd Street, for $2.5 million with his wife, Dana.

The apartment, described in the Douglas Elliman listing as, “Prewar at it’s best!” boasts a 30-foot-long, loft-like living room which “flows into the dining room and then through French doors to a wonderful eat-in kitchen” as well as a library with built-in bookshelves. The three bedrooms are described as “generously proportioned,” which can be translated as, “no master bedroom,” and are located in a separate wing, along with the two bathrooms.

“Look, I’m really not supposed to be talking about this, O.K.? I’ve agreed to not say anything about the buyers,” Douglas Elliman agent Kim Mogul Wright, who had the listing, told The Observer on Wednesday.

The A Serious Man star may have to wait a few weeks before renting the U-Haul, considering the fact that next weekend the wisecracking and goofy Mr. Kind will have other events to attend, such as the Oscars, where the Coen Brothers film is one of 800 nominated for Best Picture.
