Monserrate Gets a Hearing, Peralta Gets a Union

Hiram Monserrate was granted an expedited hearing on his call to postpone the March 16 election to fill the State Senate seat he was ejected from [date corrected].

Oral arguments in Monserrate’s case will be heard on Friday, March 12 at 2 p.m., at 500 Pearl Street.

In other news about that race, the leading Democrat to replace Monserrate, Assemblyman Jose Peralta, announced he was endorsed by 32BJ, the largest private-sector union in New York.
