Who Wouldn’t Want Ten Days With David Paterson?

David Paterson’s director of communications knocks today’s New York Times story, which accuses the governor of, among other things, being inexplicably unreachable for three hours after a plane crash in Buffalo, detached from top officials, and not a particularly hard worker.

The best part of Peter Kauffmann’s rebuttal: the offer to shadow the governor for ten days.

“When presented with a line of reporting calling into question his work ethic and dedication to his job, Governor Paterson invited the New York Times to have a reporter shadow him for 10 days to see first-hand the work he does on a daily basis. The Times refused the Governor’s challenge.”
