The American Society of Magazine Editors released the finalists for their digital “Ellie” awards today.
“General Excellence,” the top award, “recognizes editorial achievement in magazine websites and online-only magazines.” However, the online-only contenders apparently came up short: this year’s nominees are New York, The Atlantic, National Geographic, Wired, and Martha Stewart Living. Although! Wired.com is run by a separate team than magazine, so Wired editor Chris Anderson can’t really claim all the credit.
