Representative Greg Meeks told reporters on Saturday that nobody mentioned Andrew Cuomo during the closed-door meeting Al Sharpton held with black and Latino elected officials to discuss David Paterson.
“There was no discussion of any candidate,” Meeks said. They only discussed how to proceed with a progressive agenda, he told reporters.
Meeks also said that Paterson, having withdrawn from the governor’s race, is in position to govern without worrying about political repercussions.
