The only Democrat in New York featured in an ad by the DNC to thank him for his vote in support of the health care bill is Tim Bishop in Suffolk County, Long Island.
Bishop announced last Friday that he’d be voting for the bill, and has come under criticism for the vote by his two Republican opponents, Chris Cox — son of the GOP state chairman — and Randy Altshuler.
The DNC ad for Bishop is part of a wider ad campaign the party is rolling out for vulnerable Democrats.
UPDATE: Cox’s spokesman said the ads “remind voters” that Bishop is “a rubber stamp for Nancy Pelosi’s Congress.”
