Goodwin: Christie on the right track

EAST BRUNSWICK – Just over two weeks ago, he was council president in Hamilton.

Now he’s state Sen. Tom Goodwin from Hamilton, and he goes on an election year onstage tear here that energizes the crowd.

“Governor Christie is on the right track,” says Goodwin, who applauds the governor’s budget cutting efforts as business-friendly.

“We need to make this state better for business,” he adds, and that gets a huge applause.

Running in a November special election against Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein (D-Plainsboro), Goodwin complains that Greenstein has served in the legislature for over a decade.

“We don’t want to give her a promotion,” he shouts. “send her back.”

The crowd likes that almost as much as when Goodwin mentions that his son is working as an intern with Bill O’Reilly.

The name of the FOX News star brings down the house.
